Achievements

Transurban – Road Operations Manager

• - Managed the operations and daily activities of the Road Operations function (traffic operations center and incident response, special event management, major incident management, regional coordination, Road Safety Action Plan coordination).
• - Managed the Road Operations function during the planning, device and system testing and implementation phases of the I-395 Express Lanes project.
• - Served as Transurban Incident Commander for Operations, point of contact with regional partners and developed operations plans for National Security Special Events (e.g., 58^th Presidential Inauguration, 59^th Presidential Inauguration) and major special events (e.g., Marine Corps Marathon, Army Ten Miler, annual Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks Display).

District of Columbia Department of Transportation – Associate Director

• - Directed the operations and daily activities of the Transportation Operations Administration (Traffic Operations, Bridge Maintenance, Traffic Engineering and Safety, City-wide Parking Programs, City-wide Streetlight and Asset Management, Traffic Signals and Intelligent Transportation Device Maintenance, Field Operations, Fleet and Warehouse Operations).
• - Coordinated severe weather responses and developed operations plans for special events.
• - Provided testimony during oversight and performance hearings before the DC Council Transportation Oversight Committee.

Virginia Department of Transportation - Northern Region Transportation Operations Manager

• - Managed Transportation Operations Center and incident response function, Operations Engineering group, and Northern Virginia portion of the Statewide Customer Service Center.
• - Established a backup Transportation Operations Center in compliance with Continuity of Operations requirements.
• - Established the Signal Operations Center to enable proactive management of traffic signal operations.
• - Served as the VDOT Incident Commander for Operations and developed operational plans for National Security Special Events (57^th Presidential Inauguration), and major special events (e.g., Marine Corps Marathon, Army Ten Miler, annual Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks Display).

VDOT – Systems Engineering Manager

• - Established a Systems Engineering Laboratory in which systems and devices (existing and proposed) were evaluated and recommended for implementation and deployment.
• - Oversaw the design and implementation of a telecommunications backbone to which all ITS device cabinets are connected. The topology encompassed redundant rings and hubs to promote system reliability and resiliency.
